Not a good look for either. Biden looks to be past it and Trump just looks dangerous.. as in could create a civil war.

Trump appeared to be the "bad boy" this time - rude, interruptive etc. to me

I think he thought the rubbish he kept interrupting with would be a vote winner.. An perhaps some of it is but you don't do it by talking over people during their allotted speaking time. It just comes across as pathetic.
The support for right wing supremacists was interesting.. Obviously lose votes all over but I think he know what triggers to push in those red states he needs to keep. He does not care if he loses support elsewhere. It was how he won in the first first election.

"First, with regards to the commission rules changes, the president made it clear his view on that yesterday that he thinks the only way there is a fair debate is changing the moderator and is changing the Democrat nominee", McEnany said at a press briefing. "He wants to debate. He plans on being at the debate but he wants the rules to be fair, and wants a fair exchange, and doesn’t want rules that cover for a certain candidate’s inability to perform well."
There will be two more debates between Trump and Biden, on 15 October in Miami and 22 October in Nashville, and a single round for their running mates. Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Kamala Harris, are scheduled to meet on 7 October in Salt Lake City.

From the man himself:
Previous debate moderator Chris Wallace was already accused of being biased by conservatives, including Trump himself. After Wallace failed to maintain order on Tuesday night and the two candidates devolved into interruptions and bickering, the Commission on Presidential Debates promised “additional structure” for the future events, though both Trump and his campaign had pushed back against changes, with campaign senior advisor Jason Miller even blasting the Commission as biased against Trump and full of “permanent swamp creatures.”
and about the proposed replacement Moderator Steve Scully:
The US Commission on Presidential Debates has announced that the second scheduled face-off between President Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Joe Biden has been cancelled for good, with no replacement date.
It is now apparent there will be no debate on October 15, and the CPD will turn its attention to preparations for the final presidential debate scheduled for October 22.
