Aussie Broadband has confirmed a major outage in Victoria due to an issue with its CGNAT infrastructure, leaving thousands without internet.
According to a representative via Whirlpool forums at 9:56am this morning

Affected users have been without service since last night. Social media posts report growing support queues, with DownDetector showing over 600 people waiting for support as of 10:57 PM on September 26, 2024.

Although DownDetector reported only three issues after 3:28 AM, reports surged to 2,408 by 8:56 AM, suggesting that issues had already been present but weren’t detected early on.

Aussie Broadband needs to explain why they failed to detect this issue earlier and why no notifications were posted on their website.
