My client used the same model VR1600v v2 - an ex-TPG issued one ( pre-loved $20 ) - static IP with a Broadcom xDSL PHY.

It had the TPG custom firmware ( VOIP etc visible after using the superuse su login ).

I'm sure the FBB version would have generic firmware - but have they FBB confirmed so ?

As otherwise the TPG firmware ones might be still a security risk ( reportedly hacked in early July 2020 )
