I'm after some advice please
Currently looking for a way to extend my 5GHZ to the other side of the room
I'm running an Asus Router 68u
How much of it matters if it isn't an Asus Wifi Extender ? can it just be any brand ?
Looking at the following on ebay, which outta these two would be suited to boost it
OEM Asus RP-AC56 AC1200 WiFi Extender Booster Repeater Access Point Smart Home
OEM Asus RP-AC52 AC750 WiFi Extender Booster Repeater Access Point Smart Home
Any other brands to look out for ?
Cheers,
Rain

What are the walls made from? Brick? Gyprock?
You could get another 68u and use the Asus Wifi Mesh system. I was using it earlier on in the year and it worked fairly well (after a bit of tweaking)

Is 2nd hand an option? Could prob get one for around $100 - $150
With the Netgear XR500, you could flash with DD-WRT and configure it as a wireless client
